SFZC's Building Maintenance Restricted Fund
About San Francisco Zen Center's Building Maintenance Restricted Fund
The sole purpose of the Building Maintenance Restricted Fund is to fund emergency projects that need immediate attention. As stewards of these temples, we are responsible for the places that have so generously cared for us. Donations will go directly to temple projects that must be completed now, and without delay.
Most urgently, we will be able to hire a professional engineer to provide the safety, compliance, and efficiency needed for these projects to coordinate seamlessly with SFZC’s Plant Managers at all three temples. Their skilled expertise is crucial to ensure structural integrity, adherence to building codes, cost-effective solutions, and problem solving for our temples. The care of our buildings is itself a form of practice and a lesson in impermanence—one that honors the lineage of Suzuki Roshi and the communities we serve.
